In May, we received information that a citizen of Uzbekistan had been forcibly held in a bakery in the city of Nursultan for 14 months. His documents were seized. He was beaten and threatened with death. One of the employees helped him. He called the victim's father and told him his son needed help. Jointly with PF Kargau-Astana, we took the victim out and placed him in a shelter.
On the fact of intentional infliction of light bodily harm, the district police officer who dealt with this case initiated an administrative offense case under Article 73-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The lawyer of the NGO "ISTIQBOLLI AVLOD" (Uzbekistan) had to write a complaint to the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a demand to initiate a criminal case under the article on human trafficking.
